Play auditions

Theatre is that branch of the performing arts concerned with acting out stories in front of an audience using combinations of speech, gesture, music, dance, sound and spectacle. When actors audition for a theatre production, often they will perform monologues from plays other than the play they're auditioning for. Actors union

The most reputable unions for acting are SAG (Screen Actors Guild), AFTRA (American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) and Equity Union, which represents actors and stage managers in theatre. To become a member of these guilds you must work a certain amount of hours and have a certain amount of credit vouchers to qualify. Once you are a guild member you will have full advantage of what a union offers which is support and protection.
